The Urge to Explore the Unknown

The urge to explore is common for every one. Ever since the dawn of civilization, man has been constantly exploring the world to find out the unknown things, to learn about different places, practices etc., and also to find minerals, gold etc.

Though the desire to find gold is strong for an explorer, the way to find it is even more interesting for him/her. In history many great explorers have arrived at different places completely unknown to them in the past. For example, America was discovered by Europeans when trying to find a shorter trade route to India.

Many explorers or adventurers share similar qualities. They have a burning desire to discover the unknown and also to undergo adventures. Some explorers simply explore to gain fame or reputation while some do so for pure adventurous spirit, some to find a place to stay and some to find gold or to gain knowledge.

Today even after lot of places are discovered on Earth still there are places and things man has never explored and/or is unable to explore. The twentieth century has brought a new era of exploration that is to explore space through scientific knowledge. Still the human thirst for exploration continues.
