Kashmir: Where Nature Sits in the Lap of Lord

“If there is to be heaven on earth, it is here” said the poignant Mughal king Akbar commenting on the picturesque landscape of Kashmir. Kashmir evokes awe-inspiring response from an incessant flurry of tourists. The place is covered with such natural splendor that it may take many lives to soak it entirely. With the mighty Himalayas looming over it and the hills of Karakoram and Nanda Devi adding to the effect, the place looks seeped in beauty. River Lidder, Jhelum and Chenab augment the impact of beauty.

The place is generally covered in snow. This drives the tourists crazy. Rose and tulip sprouting from the snow and brown and black horses trailing through the tuft of green grass make for a spectrum of colors. Tulip festival in Kashmir is rated by many as one of the most celebrated floral events of Asia. Lacs of tulips blossom and create rich paraphernalia exuding a riot of orange.

Gulmarg is a place which needs specific mention. The place is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and it has huge acreage of greenery spreading over it like the reverse canopy of sky. Owing to the long queue of tourists, the place has been blessed with resorts and hotel chains which deal in great accommodation and superior ethnic food.

Pahalgam is another must watch. The place also marks the point of commencement for those leaving for Amarnath pilgrimage.

Dal Lake stands at the cornerstone of history. It has a floating garden and a historic group of four trees called Char Chinar held over a high pedestal. The water is unlike that found in Lakes. It can get really tumultuous at times. Mughals had built beautiful gardens in the State. Kashmir houses the Shalimar and the Nishat gardens.

Unfortunately the place had been marred by violence and cross-border terrorist activities had piled the intrinsic beauty of it with loads of gore and bloodshed. Thankfully, the situation seems to have come in hand.

Last year, I was in Patara, one of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey. Throughout my vacation in Antalya, I met people who travelled to almost every beach in the world. I listened their stories and fantastic holiday memories. I was impressed from what I heared about some beaches. After my vacation, I researched all those beaches and pickep up the photos. This article is about 5 fantastic beaches that attracted me deeply somehow.

Phi Phi Islands:

Phi Phi Islands are located in Phuket, Thailand. However, it is a part of Krabi. Phi Phi reminds the tourists of heaven. My friend Pawaena says “it is like the reflection of beauties in heaven. A combination of all beauties. ”

There are many hotels, hostels and spas in Phi Phi. Every summer, more than one million people go Phi Phi for vacation and the population of the island changes dramatically. Habitants of the island are very hostile and happy when they see new faces.

Seven Mile Beach:

It is located in George Town, the capital city of Cayman Islands. Despite its beautiful nature, the number of visitors was dramatically decreased after Hurricane Ivan disaster. There are many resorts and hotels in George Town to accommodate. Puclic nudity and loud music is strictly forbidden.

Lanikai Beach:

Lanikai is located in Hawaii, on the coast of Oahu. Unlike other beaches, Lanikai is only for very rich people. It is ranked as one of the bests. If you are well-off, this should be your first choise.

Manly Beach:

It is located in Sydney, Ausralia. A good place for swiming, surfing and even walking. Manly beach has three parts, Queenscliff, North Steyne and South Steyne. It is adjacent to Sydney Harbour National Park.

It is located in Zanzibar. This is one of the favourites of travel agencies in Turkey. Likewise other touristic places, Blue Bay has many hotels, resorts and spas. Since prices are moderates, it is open to everyone from different classes.

Six Upsides of Flying Long-Haul

For many people, a long-haul flight is a boring trip, which will mainly consist of "sleeping" and being (extremely) tired, after not being able to sleep despite having been awake for the last 20 hours. However, there are some upsides to flying, as listed below:

Hosts

You ask, they serve. Isn't it a nice break to not have to go and fetch some apple juice yourself? And to have your meals delivered right to you, without having to move at all. Can't complain.

Entertainment

Music, movies, games, radio, television shows and dramas. There's something for everyone when you're flying long-haul. You can watch a recent blockbuster, before listening to some calm, relaxing music, followed by an episode of your favourite drama.

Neighbours

If the people sitting next to you are wide awake, and if you are too, perhaps a little conversation wouldn't hurt. You never know, you may find that you're sitting next to the most interesting person in the world!

View

Looking out at the clouds... aren't they pretty? You can just imagine a city up there, with creatures light enough to stand on the clouds... or maybe it's just me who can imagine that. Anyhow, the view is often spectacular, and you can't miss the city and country views during takeoff and landing.

Food

Although it may not always be great, there's always at least 1 item of food that's delicious, no matter how your appetite is. And best of all, it's made and served straight to you! 6.	Relax: Flying long-haul is the perfect time to relax and ponder things over. All you have to do is sit down, and think. (You can also even listen to music on demand while you do this)

Travelling

Last, but certainly not least, you're travelling! You have a new location to enjoy once you land. Often this is something to look forward to, after the long (and fun!) flight.

Do you know how an important place like Nehru Centre becomes less popular? If you take time to explore its invaluable scientific knowledge, no one will miss to visit this place of great interest.

I, along with my family, planned a visit to Nehru Planetarium. This name was derived after Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India's late Prime Minister. It is erected at Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli. It was inaugurated by late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru on 12th December 1976.

This scientific center seeks to inculcate in the people the spirit and temper of Science. The planetarium offers a new opportunity for fostering the scientific temper. They illustrate about space exploration via sky shows.

This helps visitors to learn astronomy and it was surely a pleasant experience. The shows combine entertainment with instructions and provide a new experience in cosmic awareness. The narration music, sound effects and special slide projections create sense of total participation in the show. They help expand the frontiers of knowledge of the universe.

The imposing Nehru Planetariums building has already become a landmark in Mumbai. It has three floors with a total area of 5000 square metres and is fully centrally air-conditioned.

There is provision in the basement for lecture halls and library of books on astronomies and space sciences. A hobby workshop will cater to the need of children and enthusiastic amateurs who wish to build their own telescopes and models. You can innovate their own pattern of study.

It has a circular sky-theater with a seating capacity of about 600 in the middle of the sky theater is giant planetarium projector. It's a night-sky as seen from any place on earth at any time, past, present and future.

We came to know that latest modern machinery and equipments are being bought to attract the people and lot of new science programs will be introduced You must not miss the opportunity of getting invaluable scientific information. It's really a must for every Indian and foreign visitor to pay a visit to Nehru Planetarium. So, don't forget to plan a visit to Nehru Planetarium

A Pleasant and Enjoyable Cable Car Ride

It is an exciting and enjoyable experience anyone can have with a ride in a cable car. In Switzerland, a home of the cable car, the cable car is used to ferry tourists up the slope of a mountain, to a fast-food outlet from where one can have a bird's eye view of the surrounding country. In winter, one can view skiers glide down the snow-covered slope on skis from the top of a ski run.

In Singapore, the cable car is used to commute one from the summit of Faber Mount on the Singapore Island to a low hill on Sentosa, a famous resort island just off the southern part of Singapore.

The cable car resembles a carriage which hangs from a strong steel cable suspended in the air. It moves along the cable with other cars on pullers turned by electronic motors. Each cable car is painted with eye-catching color and can seat up to six persons.

Through the glass window of the cable car, passenger gets a breathtaking view of the modernized city of Singapore, harbor bustling with workers, and some tiny islands off the coast of Singapore.

As the cable car is hung so high in the air, ships on the sea appear to be small boats or the boats like toys. You can view workers on the ships in the dockyard below busily moving cargo from the ships to the shore or from the quay on the waiting ships by looking through binoculars or a telescope. On sunny day, the sky above is beautifully blue and the sea below looks crystal blue.

Passengers have adequate time to capture a magnificent view during a trip to Sentosa Island as the cable car moves at a leisurely manner. When reaching the island, the visitor can walk round viewing some interesting sights or swim in the artificial lagoon. The visitor can also take a bus to travel round the island if he or she is not eager to walk. Golf lovers can have a round of golf course on this island.

After spending some memorable times on the island, you have to take a cable car back to Mount Faber. The return trip is equally enjoyable and interesting as during the trip to Sentosa Island.
