You are all ready to embark upon that exciting and much awaited holiday that you
had planned for and played over and over again in your mind.
However stress has become such an inherent part of our life that even planning a holiday becomes a stressful activity. Here is a list of pointers that can help simplify things.

List all the things that are important, that need to be done - "a to do list" before you board your flight. Include all bills that need to be paid, errands to be completed, work to be done. You wouldn't really want to fret over some incomplete work while you are on a holiday. s you complete each task remove it or tick if off the list. You will find all your work becomes more organized and you won't feel like there is "so much to do and so little time".

List all the items that you need to take while you are traveling. It is always a good idea to do some research on the place you are visiting instead of depending entirely on travel brochures. Your travel agent will guide you properly about the clothes you need to carry and other details. So it's a good idea to talk to someone who is familiar with the area you are visiting. This is particularly useful if you are visiting a foreign country.

Make a list of luggage that you are carrying and if possible label the same with a brief
of the contents. Ensure your name and contact details are mentioned on each item of luggage. Ensure the luggage is sturdy. You don't want to waste time over luggage problems. If you are taking medicines ensure you are carrying the same.

Ensure that the pets are taken care of while you are away.

Let at least two people close to you have a plan of your itinerary with contact numbers where you can be reached in case of emergency. This is particularly important if you are visiting a foreign country.

Ensure that you have a travel insurance cover.

Check the expiry dates on credit cards

Confirm and reconfirm your travel schedules and your flight timings.

Confirm the luggage restrictions and luggage allowances with the airlines.

Ensure all the essential travel documents such as passport are in order.

Ensure that you have complied with the necessary vaccinations if required.

Check in well in time at the airport. Traveling is at its peak during the holiday season and can be quite stressful. Remember the whole point of vacation is to de-stress.

Finally embark on your journey with an uncluttered mind. Now just lay back and enjoy your vacation. You deserve it.
