T.G.I. Fridays

T.G.I. Fridays, a favorite of many restaurant lovers, is offering a special on their menu called “Right Portion, Right Price.” The meals vary from $5.99 to $9.99 and you may choose from over 10 different meal ideas. Some interesting items on this special menu are Petite Sirloin meal, a tender six ounce steak that is served with a white macaroni and cheese, the Roasted Red Pepper Sausage and Chicken Penne meal, which looks delicious and is pretty self explanatory, and the Asian Glazed Chicken on Field Greens, which is a low fat meal with a special asian sauce and dusted with nuts. Now if those selection don’t sound appetizing to you, I don’t know what to tell you!

Red Lobster

Red Lobster is running a special right now on its Jumbo Shrimp entrees. You can get any entrée for as low as $11.99. The choices include Jumbo Shrimp with Lobster Butter, Spicy Asian-Garlic Jumbo Shrimp, and Jumbo Garlic Shrimp Scampi, among others. You have six delicious meals to choose from with this great special. Seafood lovers: enjoy!

On the Border

On the Border, a well-liked restaurant that serves Mexican cuisine, is currently running a special that can’t be beat: a three course meal for just $9.99. You get an appetizer in the form of a Chicken Tortilla Soup or a house salad, the main course, which is your choice of two popular Mexican dishes (enchiladas, tacos, empanadas, among others), and finally a brownie topped with vanilla ice cream for dessert. On the Border’s deal is great because the restaurant has a great atmosphere, great margaritas, and great food. If you are in the mood for Mexican and want to sit down, you might want to search for an On the Border in your area. These three deals should get you started.

The trick is to actually order from the special menu when you arrive at the restaurant; you can easily get caught up in the pictures of other food on the menu that is full price (that is the trick, but stay focused!). I am always thankful to all restaurants and stores that offer specials and deals to consumers in hard times, instead of raising prices as some establishments do. Check out one of these fine restaurants for a deal that will please your palette without pulling the strings too tightly on your wallet.

I know they don't have the freshest seafood around. Nor do they have the lowest prices. What they do have however is a polite staff, great atmosphere, and wonderful, wonderful cheese biscuits. I just can't seem to get enough of those cheese biscuits. They are amazing.

I have never had a truly bad experience while eating there. The restaurant even at its busiest is not all that loud. I love the wooden railings and rustic naval scenery. It is very interesting to look at when you live in one of the most land locked places in the world. I have to drive 14 hours minimum just to see the Gulf of Mexico. Its 20 hours to make it to one of the coasts.

Their food is more than passable even if it is freeze dried and not fresh off the boat. The best thing is that it is exactly the same every time. I never have to worry about getting something that is different than the last time. The shrimp scampi always tastes like shrimp scampi, and the batters that they use don't change from month to month.

The service is always polite and professional looking. I have never had a bad waiter or waitress there although some are better than others. I guess the reason that I like Red Lobster so much is that it doesn't change. It always delivers exactly what I expect it to, and in this world of sleazy Waffle Houses, and smoky, greasy old Denny's, it is a breath of fresh air.
