Bermuda Dream'n

The jewel of the Northern Caribbean, Bermuda offers turquoise blue water, pink beaches and a friendly atmosphere that is both affluent and polite. It is a destination often over looked by those seeking an island vacation but is quite popular with the rich and famous as a near by retreat. Formally a British possession, the Queen’s image and values are well represented throughout the island. If you want to experience time away from the ordinary but do not want to be too far from Christian Dior you will find Bermuda, in the summer, an extraordinary choice. Horse Shoe Bay is one of the best-known and most popular beaches on the southern shore. The beach offers chair and umbrella rental, food services and rest facilities. An excellent choice for families but should not be over looked by couples.

Horse Shoe Bay

Walk to the far end of Horse Shoe for “Post Card” bays and grottos that should not be missed. Bring a camera, sun glasses and a towel and you are set for an unforgettable day at the beach. The Gulf Stream keeps Water temperatures an average 83 degrees in July.

Yes Virginia, the beaches are pink. Actually it is red coral chewed up by Parrot Fish mixed with the finest white corral sand that you will find anywhere. There are a half dozen popular beaches along the south shore and dozens more known to the local tour boats and cab drivers who will be glad to take you to them.

Pink Sands

Church Bay Beach. Not much of a beach itself but a favorite for snorkel divers. If you want to snorkel in waste deep water and see what you normally see at twenty feet this is the place for you. Ask any cab driver to take you to Church Bay and he will know where it is. Careful, it is a little slippery walking out on the reef.

Bermuda summers are for people watching also. But be aware that nudity, boom boxes and alcohol are not permitted on the beaches. Some of the seascapes are absolutely breath taking.

The island is a shutter-bugs paradise. Bring an extra SD card for your camera.

Sonesta Bay

Downtown Hamilton is the Island’s Capital. Shop till you drop. No matter if you are into Conservative British stile, Tommy Bahama or California Grunge you can find it here among the stores on Front Street.

Front Street Hamilton

St. George is the island’s second largest city. This is a great place to enjoy a “Rum-Swizzle” on the Warf. Shopping and water sports of every kind are available. Try a Catamaran tour of the inland waterways or be adventurous and do some deep sea fishing. Barracuda are always on the menu.

St. George Bay

And yes, there is golf, golf and more golf offering some of the best courses you will find anywhere in the world. Be advised that the Green Fees are substantial.

Chances are that once you have been to Bermuda you will return many times. Less than two hours from the U.S. East Coast, you can board a breakfast flight and have lunch on the beach. For those who want to take their time getting there you will find that most major Cruise Lines visit the Island. But a one day stop-over is just a tease.

Try These Three Activities on Your Next Cruise Vacation

I have been on five cruises in my lifetime so I would hardly consider that to make me the cruising guru. Compared to some people I have met and talked to, my five seems like child's play compared to the 20 to 30 they have been on. That is a whole lot of cruising!

Nevertheless on the cruises I have been on I found there are certain things I like to do and I make sure I get them done. Maybe you are the same when you go on vacation, and if you aren't take a look at these three suggestions the next time you go on a cruise to enhance your vacation fun and experience.

Bingo

Sure when you hear the word bingo you probably think of a weekly function for local older folks in your town that head to the church recreation hall to win some cash. However on a cruise ship, bingo is a ton of fun. At the beginning of the week the crowds are small but by the last day as long as the jackpot still stands the bingo hall is absolutely filled. Why? Because the jackpot grows into the thousands of dollars. On one cruise vacation I was on a woman won over $7,000. It was enough to pay for the entire cruise and them some. It is a bit pricey, so if you are going to play and only have the budget to play once, do it on the last day to go for the jackpot.

Wine Tasting

I am not much of a wine person but my wife is and on a cruise ship they offer wine classes. So normally I tag along with her and I can tell you I have learned quite a bit. It still doesn't make me a connoisseur of wine but I do know more now then I ever had. Some cruise ships charge a nominal fee of $5 for the class while others offer it free and then try to sell you wine at the end of the demonstration. Either way it is fun and you never feel pressured into buying anything.

Art Auction

Every ship I have been on has an art auction. I never realized how popular the activity was until I started seeing the rooms filled with people bidding on art from vendors I personally never heard of. Although I have never bought any art myself I have sat in on a couple of auctions (mostly for the free wine & cheese) and can say that if you are an art person, one of these auctions is definitely for you. The people there were excited when they won, and the energy in the room is incredible. Even if you are not an art person, sit in on one and you are sure to enjoy yourself.

These are just three of the endless things you can do on a cruise ship. I chose these three because they are different then what you could get on other vacations. The next time you go on a cruise give them a try. You never know you might win the jackpot, become a wine expert or learn a thing or two about art or auctions.

Go on a Cruise for Your Next Vacation

One of the best things I love about going on a cruise vacation is the ability to get a taste of many different locations as opposed to just one place where you are there for an entire week.

Take for instance my recent cruise to the Southern Caribbean. We started out by flying from Philadelphia to San Juan, Puerto Rico. I was pleasantly surprised about San Juan. We were there a day and half before we sailed out, but San Juan is definitely a place I would go back to for an extended period of time. The weather was ninety degrees in January and the people at our hotel were great.

So we set sail on a Royal Caribbean cruise and our first stop was Aruba. On Aruba we took an off road Jeep excursion. It was pretty cool, but a bit pricey I thought, but what the heck I am on vacation right? Unfortunately for me the natural bridge had collapsed the previous year so I all I got to see was a pile of rubble. Although I liked Aruba I don't think it would be a place I could spend a week at. My friends however absolutely loved it there, in fact that is where they honeymooned.

Our next stop was Curacao. We spent time at a marine aquatic preservation zoo type of thing. I forget the name of it off the top of my head; however it was a pretty awesome experience. You got to snorkel with all kinds of different marine life and with bucket of squid in hand you got to feed them as well.

If you were a little more adventurous you could feed the sharks and sea turtles that were fenced in on either side of you. It was a neat experience, definitely one I would recommend, but since our stay in Curacao was limited it is hard to say whether I would go back for a week or not.

Our final stop was on the island St. Thomas. There we took an overpriced taxi ride to Meaghan's Bay where we paid $3.00 to sit on one of top ten ranked beaches in the world. Yes I can say it was extremely beautiful, but top ten? I'd have to see many other beaches around the world before I make my claim of top ten.

We were in St. Thomas for the entire day, but with the constant badgering by the locals to buy their crap it felt like we were there for a month. You would have to pay me a lot, and I mean a lot of money to go back for a week there. It's just not worth the hassle. I do hear, however, that St. John's is incredible, which is accessible from St. Thomas. So if I have to go back to St. Thomas I would probably head over to St. Johns instead.

Cruising gives you the ability to try out different locations before settling or taking a risk on one where you might be stuck having a bad time for seven days. If you haven't gone on a cruise, I would highly recommend it.

Check Out Specialty Dining on Your Next Cruise: You Won’t be Disappointed

A few years back my wife and I decided to go on a cruise to Bermuda for our wedding anniversary. Normally we would take a weekend trip somewhere within a reasonable driving distance, but in this particular year we really wanted to go on a cruise.

We chose the Royal Caribbean cruise line as our means for vacation for this particular trip. We chose Royal Caribbean because they offered a cruise to Bermuda from a local port within an hour drive from our house.

On most cruise vacations that my wife and I take we try to treat ourselves to something special. It could a massage, or an exciting excursion, but you can always count on us doing something as an added piece of excitement for our vacation.

This time we wanted to try something new on the cruise ship. On this particular Royal Caribbean ship they had a specialty restaurant called Portofino's. I understand that they have added this same restaurant to all of their new ships, and after having one dinner there I can understand why.

We considered this a treat because there is an added expense of $25 per person to dine at Portofino's. Some people asked us why we would pay to dine on a cruise ship when the food is included at sit down dinners and of course at the buffet. Prior to us dining there we thought the same thing, but then also thought to give it a try and experience it just once.

Dining in the specialty restaurant is far different than what you will experience elsewhere on the ship. When you walk into Portofino's it is similar to walking into a five star establishment. The waiters and waitresses are dressed to the utmost professional attire. That is not to say that the waiters and waitresses in other dining areas do not look professional, but Royal Caribbean makes the specialty restaurant help go a step further.

When dining you are given a menu of many choices of appetizers, salads, soups and main courses to choose from. Many differ from what you would find at your normal sit down meal, however there are also some familiar choices as well. As with your sit down dinner or buffet, it is still all you can eat, so if you wanted to try a couple different appetizers or entrees they will accommodate your request. The best part is they will scale down your order for the amount of food you eat (if you so wish).

In other words if you order two appetizers, lets say escargot and duck, instead of getting two full appetizer portions they will gladly split each down to a half serving size. I like this option as it makes me feel like I am not wasting food.

The restaurant also has floor to ceiling windows so you can enjoy the view of Bermuda (or wherever your ship is going/docked). Light sounds of classical music plays in the background and because space is limited the conversational noise from surrounding tables is very low.

Overall I would rate our experience at Royal Caribbean's Portofino specialty restaurant, on a scale of one to five where five is the best, a five. We received great food, excellent service and the ambiance was outstanding. Add all of this up and it far outweighs the nominal $25 cost.

We liked it so much that we recommended it to our friends. On their next cruise they tried it and absolutely loved it as well. Give it a shot I am sure you will not be disappointed.

The Mystery of the Earth Missing Aircrafts That Appear in the Outer Space

According to the United States “World Newsweek”, an American astronomer announced his startling discovery on Mars in 1995. He accidentally observed four World War II missing American bomber aircrafts flying about the Mars. Before this discovery, the Soviet Union had announced the observation of one American old bomber aircraft used during World War II parked within the back of the moon crater through satellite scanning in 1987. From the satellite imagery, scientists identified it as a U.S. aircraft. These two strange events make the scientist community to crack their minds wondering these unsolved mysteries.

The mystery of missing aircraft on earth that appeared suddenly in the space also raised public attention and discussion. Nevertheless, the American officials declined to comment. Scientist from Sweden, Dr. Weierhaimu Gelaideboshi remarked that the earth missing aircrafts that were seen in the Mars are closely linked to the missing aircrafts in the moon observed by the Soviet Union. The missing aircraft is perfectly matched with the missing of “the devil triangle.” This is an incredible mystery that scientists doubt about it. It is hard to understand why Bermuda disappeared mysteriously.

To understand how these five aircrafts disappeared from the earth, one must back to the history 50 years ago. That was on December 5, 1945, with the 19th 5 doors bomber aircraft of the World War II Navy Aviation Battalion, flying from Florida to the Atlantic Sea.

It was reported that the weather was good that day. There was no abnormal weather observed above the waves of the Atlantic Ocean that might impact the flight. However, when the aircraft entered a Bermuda, the multi-Lebanon Valley and a triangle zone of Miami or also known as “Devil Triangle”, where countless ships and aircrafts had been reported disappearing mysteriously, some unusual things took place. Before missing, the aircraft did not issue any rescue signals to headquarter and even after the missing, no rescue signals had been sent out. The disconnect communication with the base occurred at 1700. The Mariners-Martin (PBM), a rescue team that was sent to rescue the victims was not back thereafter. After the aircrafts missing for nearly 2 hours at the time of 1904, Finder Carbondale Air Force Base received an incredible weak voice from the distant and a series of repeated rescue radio signals-“FT…..FT….”As the rescue aircraft had run out of fuel and the position of the victims could not be identified properly, and thus they had to burry their missions to search for the loss of victims in the five aircrafts. The time passed very fast, and this incident had left us for over 50 years and people no longer want to deal with it. However, after 50 years, these missing aircrafts appeared in the distance planet that remains a mystery to the scientists until now.

An astronomer, Dr. Kefende Lutin claimed that he accidentally came across the scene of aircrafts flying about the Mars after 50 years ago from now. He observed 4 out of 5 World War II missing bomber aircrafts flying a few kilometers away from the surface of the Mars with his telescope. The flying speed of the aircrafts could reach as high as 40,000km. The aircrafts were seen in a good condition and it appeared to be controlled by somebody. It could be clearly seen a sign of the United States on the body of the aircraft. There is no doubt about it- the aircrafts seen flying about the Mars was in accordance with the missing aircrafts in the area of “the devil Triangle.”

The Dr. later excitedly commented on this matter, “This is a big discovery since the Soviet Union spotted the missing United State bomber aircrafts near the moon.”

Soviet Union captured satellite photography of the U.S. bomber aircrafts parked by the edge of the meteorites on the back of the moon on March 1987. When the Soviet Union desired to capture another picture on those missing U.S. aircrafts on July 22, 1988, the aircrafts was found disappeared mysteriously. They concluded that the aircrafts parking area is not static and somebody must have manipulated the aircraft.

Dr. Lutin emphasized that the event of the earth missing aircrafts appeared in the Mars as a fact as he had captured some computer graphic photographs to be evidence. He added that this event is an accidentally discovery and some of the scientist community may tease him for creating false illustration. The Dr. confidently stated that, “I would expect criticism and suspicious on my discovery, but it didn't even boggle me. I believe what I'd seen is not an illusion. Nevertheless, I'm regret to say that I don't know how the aircraft can disappear suddenly from our earth and then enter into the space, and what're the activities being held by these missing aircrafts over the Mars. “

The statement by the Dr. makes us wondering how the aircraft from the earth can enter into the Mars. Followed by the missing 5 bomber aircraft in Bermuda, one of the magazines in the United States published this incident with wide coverage and perspective. The editorial of the magazine received lots of letters from the readers, some of them pointed out that, “There's a "mystery gate" in the Bermuda Triangle Area.”

An American aerospace physicist, Dr. Laite seriously said, “Several hundred kilometers from here, there's always a UFO ship stopping to do surveillance over the sea. Whenever human successfully completed a flight in a space, or when these "aliens" need to access any information, they'll send a small flying spaceship to take samples from the earth. It's a sure bet that numerous mysterious disappearance of the aircrafts might be taken away by them. They took away human together with the aircrafts and thus did not leave any signs that scientists can trace for the missing.”

When mentioning about the discovery of the missing of the United States bomber aircrafts by the Soviet Union in 1987, a former Soviet aircraft pilot, Peter Glenn had remarked his personal experience in contact with a rare situation occurred during the winter time of 1948. He said, “At that moment, I was having a flying training practice over the Siberian coast. Suddenly, a bright flash, cylindrical flying object appeared in the right side of my plane. Its length was about 500m and its body was made of a dazzling metal substance. As the object was too dazzling, I couldn't see it directly, but I could feel a powerful suction coming towards my direction. I lost control of the aircraft, and I'd seen the object opened its two huge cabin doors. When my aircraft was being sucked by this object, I could see some moving shadows staring at me. Just at that moment, the shadows in the cabin changed their minds and released me from this capture. The suction power was reduced towards my aircraft, the cabin doors were closed immediately and in a high speed the object was soaring high in the sky and flew off. I was lucky to escape from this incident.”

The personal experience of Glenn coincides with the discovery of UFO over the Bermuda area that may have accounted for a mysterious disappearance of the aircrafts in the area of “devil Triangle.” It may have the possibility that the aircraft was being hijacked by some strange aliens from the outer space.
