The same goes for Mars. The atmosphere is way too thin to allow a normal WWII fighter jet to fly. There isn't even any oxygen to fuel the engine.

And yes, there is of course the obvious question of how you can see a tiny aircraft on Mars, barely 15-20 ft long, all the way from Earth, when even the satellites in orbit cannot make out those kinds of details.
And everything the Mars rovers send over is recorded. Further more, because there is an 8 minute delay between capturing the images and actually seeing them here on earth, it would take over 15 minutes between seeing something and directing the cameras to track it. So where is that footage of airplanes flying around at 40.000km/h?
