The Jamba Juice Secret: Ordering From the Secret Menu

While the popularity of Jamba Juice's secret menu is spreading, some flavors are more successful than others.

Jamba Juice's secret menu is no longer a secret. Many customers don't even bother looking at the regular menu. They go straight for the candy flavors, cereal flavors and God knows what other flavors. Skittle flavors, Fruity Pebbles flavors, and a Peanut Butter and Jelly flavor are some of the secret concoctions whose popularity has spread via word of mouth. Make no mistake - all the ingredients for these specialty smoothies are just as natural and healthy as the ingredients in the standard smoothies. It's the clever combinations of these ingredients that keep customers scratching their heads saying, "How'd they do that?" and coming back for more.

Then there are those combinations that don't quite work to achieve the assumed flavor. The Strawberry Shortcake smoothie is one example. I remember how excited my taste buds were upon ordering this naughty sounding treat. I thought of strawberry shortcake ice creams flavors that I love. I couldn't wait to take a sip of a healthy strawberry shortcake Jamba drink. Well, once I took that first sip my taste buds were highly disappointed. It didn't taste like strawberry at all. It tasted more like a confused pineapple drink. There was nothing strawberry let alone "cakey" about this smoothie. I have to give this drink two thumbs down.

There is, however, one secret menu smoothie that I think is successfully clever - White Gummy Bear. This smoothie really does taste like a White Gummy Bear. The irony of this success is that the white gummy bear itself isn't linked to a particular fruit flavor. How does one even describe the taste of a white gummy bear? But Jamba Juice has translated this mysterious flavor into a cool, healthy drink that will have you coming back for more.

Pink Star is another of my favorites. This flavor is an interpretation of the pink Starburst candy. And the candy flavors don't stop there. There are other Gummy Bear flavors, including, Red Gummy Bear and Green Gummy Bear.

So next time you visit Jamba Juice, take a walk on the wild side and ask about their secret menu smoothies. Hopefully, you and your palate will be pleasantly surprised.

Dear NewsFlash,

I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy the article. I also realize that this isn't the best written article by a long shot. You are entitled to express your opinion and I do appreciate you taking the time to read the article. I wish you a life of peace and joy. Blessings...

We will NOT make a "Secret recipe" drink unless you know the recipe. For instance, not everyone know how to make a sour patch kid (White gummi, no Soy, no peach juice, no mango, sub RTU lemonade, sub blues). If you DON'T have the recipe with you you're S-O-L. And white Gummi, berry lime sublime, orange berry blitz, acai berry wake-up and Strawberry Shortcake are NOT secret recipes. They're old recipes that were SO totally unhealthy that Jamba removed them from the master menu board because they are all sherbet, or bad sellers. There's still a button for them under "Old smoothies" on our POS system. BTW, it's cool to post WHAT ingredients, but don't post portions of ingredients because that info is owned by Jamba... Just to let you know

Oh, another thing. There is no official Green Gummi recipe. But I could tell you how to wing it. This is How I would do it:

Green Gummi-
White gummi: no mango, no peach jc, no ras sbt; sub lime sbt, lt rtu lemonade, lt rtu oj, lt peaches, lt blues; Add 2 matcha; xt ban; no 24oz cup sub 32, xt ice.

White Gummi is already an expensive drink (because the sherbet is expensive) but green gummi would be $1.50 more than the white gummi, per size, because there HAS to be extra bananas and matcha in this drink to make the flavor and color right.

White gummi, btw, is the worst tasting flavor at Jamba. It's disgustingly overwhelming and the only people that order them are asians and black people (not hating, sit at a culturally diverse
Jamba for an hour and see who orders what).

I do agree with dave- to some extent. I also work at jamba juice in southern California and, we dont know all these recipes. i mean, we barely found out how to make the PB&J (and several others). These smoothies are not healthy, at all. Its 80% sherbets. Its hard to understand why people who work out come in and get power sized white gummis with xt weight burner. we can be a really healthy store but, a lot of things aren't the best for you (P- peanut butter moo'd with 1000+ calories)
