In Chile, they made another version of Monopoly, called 'El Gran Santiago', and it's is more famous that the Monopoly itself. In fact, when I knew about Monopoly I thought it was the American version of the Gran Santiago

Starwars episode 1 edition was easily the best board in my opinion.

It was 3D sculpted plastic with a place for the deeds built in and card holders for the chance and community chest, but the best thing was that the houses & hotels clicked in and stacked up to build a Coruscant feel (which was my idea).

Wow, how fun is this! I love the different editions, they really mix things up. Great article and cool pics.

Don't forget the McDonald's Monopoly Board from their sweepstakes. I get Park Place every year, but I'm hot on Boardwalk's trail!

What annoys me about all of these different editions is the company\'s steadfast refusal to replace the Go, Free Parking, Go To Jail corner squares with themed ones. So no matter how good the board is designed and how nice the petwer pieces are, you still get sucked right out of it when you get told to go to Jail by the 1930s guy blowing a whistle. Great.

A jail in the Disney version? That\'s just cruel.

I need fascist monopoly! That would be so much fun to play in history class!

Electronic banking is the worst monopoly ever. The whole point of monopoly is to jip people out of their money and keep them on their toes, just like it was with the big businesses in the early 1900s. ^.^ I love monopoly.

POKEMON MONOPOLY!!! THAT'S THE BEST THING EVER!!!

Here in Amsterdam (where else?) there was a special gay edition issued for an AIDS charity.
The board was triangular and pink, and instead of streets there were the names of famous Amsterdam gay bars and clubs.
Of course it was called "homonopoly":-)
I could take a picture of it if you like.
