Whenever we travel, we wanted to bring all our favorite clothes that we want to wear even if we don't have to wear formal clothes. We end up paying higher charges for overload or excess baggage. The worst scenario is if we can't afford to pay them is to leave them behind.
Take note that your main focus is to travel to a new city! You don't have to bring all your clothes but try to minimize it. For women, try not to bring any unnecessary things otherwise you may not have enough space for your shopping spree. One shoe is enough or sandal for you to use then you can just shop there when you get to your destination especially if you're going to jump from one destination to another.
Hotels have soaps, towels, shampoos etc. that you can use. You will have less things to attend to if you only bring necessary things and you have a chance to buy new things that you can give to your friends and relatives who are waiting for your arrival.
