Thirst is proof that not all good things come in big packages. What it lacks in size, it makes up for with banging beats and a buzzing vibe. The sleek lines, minimalist décor and beautiful clientele are quintessentially Soho smart but refreshingly, lacking the pretenses of other clubs.
Thirst has terrific prices on an enormous range of mind-narrowing cocktails. Start at the top of the list during Stupid Hour on a Thursday (the new Friday) you might find your way to the bottom by the end of Happy Hour - two weeks later.
Nightly DJs ensure that you’ll be able to shake it with the best of them into the wee hours of the morning. The neon “no requests” sign above the DJ booth is slightly off-putting, but ensures that you won’t have to listen to trite pop music. The dance floor is rather small so it gets packed quickly.
I arrived on a Thursday night and the bar was hopping by 10 PM. The DJ was absolutely phenomenal and the crowd was definitely up for it. If you’re not in the mood for dancing, simply kick back on one of the couches and enjoy the view.
The Amber Bar is available for private hire. It holds up to 70 standing, or if you desire real VIP treatment, rent out the downstairs bar entirely as a private space, holding up to 110.
