Winner of several "best burger" awards, Gourmet Burger Kitchen is an upmarket restaurant chain devoted to top quality burgers boasting a multitude of exotic and toppings. Created by two New Zealanders, GBK now has six outlets in London and is set to expand further.
Fresh ingredients delivered each morning ensure that the customer will experience the Rolls Royce of burgers. There are a plethora of burger options to be had: chicken, lamb, chorizo, venison and an aubergine and goats cheese burger. Multiply this by the toppings: avocado, pesto, sweet potato, aubergine, goat’s cheese, bacon, cheddar, tomatoes, peppers, pineapple, onion, salad, Portabello mushrooms, and a fried egg and the possibilities are endless!
Their signature ‘Kiwiburger’, one of their most outrageous concoctions (Aberdeen Angus beef, beetroot, egg, pineapple, cheese, salad and relish), stands an amazing 6” from the plate! Eating this beast of a burger proves to be quite a challenge, so it is probably not the best place to go while on a date as you are likely to have sauces and toppings everywhere!
As a side, try their delicious homemade chips which can be served with Garlic Mayo, Blue Cheese, Satay, Chilli, Barbecue or Sour Cream on the side. Delicious side salads and dinner salads are also available for vegetarians. Wash down your meal with an ice-cold beer, soda, or one of their infamous Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Banana, or Lime milkshakes.
