The beauty of the "Venice Carnival" is well to know all over the world, each year in February for two weeks becomes a fantastically world of street parades and great balls, masks and glowing costumes. The main place for the event is "San Marco Piazza" the most vast area in Venice, where every year the Carnival is starting. The idea started from around 1162, when Venice being a small republic but a strong republic was victorious against Ulrico, Patriarch of Aquileia.
